About the Role:

Titan Legal is seeking a talented individual to join our vibrant litigation team, with strong technical knowledge of motor vehicle property damage and hire car litigation process and procedures. Get ready to dive into a range of engaging tasks and gain hands-on experience. Ideally, you will be a 1-3 year post-admission lawyer with a keen interest in litigation.

As a solicitor, you will support the litigations team and paralegals by handling high volume of claims, run litigation matters, undertake legal research, and provide guidance and mentoring to a team of paralegals.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage portfolio of litigated matters.
• Provide support, guidance, and supervision to a team of paralegals and cross-functional teams.
• Carriage of files independently and/under supervision.
• Advise clients on legal issues.
• Arrange interviews, and meetings with clients, witnesses, and other relevant parties.
• Draft, proofread, and finalise legal documents, statements of claim, pleadings and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal standards.
• Prepare cases for court by conducting investigation, undertaking research, arranging witness preparation and attendance and giving notice of court actions.
• Negotiate claims and settlements with various insurers and third parties to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Make court appearances, including pre-trial reviews and hearings.
• Time management skills and proven ability to handle multiple active matters.
• Problem-solving ability and ability to think laterally.
• Ensure litigation files are up to date and prepare for any upcoming court events.
• Providing reports and updates as required.

About You:

• Current practicing certificate (essential).
• 1-3 years post-admission experience in the motor vehicle property and hire car recovery practice area (desirable)
• Litigation experience not only NSW but in other states is preferred, but not essential.
• Strong understanding of the applicable legal principles and case law.
• Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
• Able to uphold and maintain professional ethics when managing cases and dealing with clients/ customers.
• Ability to take ownership of your work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Ability to think creatively to achieve tasks and meet targets.
• Willingness to learn.
• Thrives in a team-oriented and collaborative work environment.
• Ability to manage your own file load and assist in management of paralegals.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
