About the Role:
Carbiz is seeking a detail-oriented finance professional with a knack for numbers, payroll, and procurement? We’re looking for a Finance & Payroll Officer to join our dynamic team and play a vital role in supporting our Finance, Operations, and Fleet departments.
This dual-function role is perfect for someone who thrives on variety. In this role, you'll be responsible for processing purchase orders, day-to-day financial transactions, obtaining and processing bank payouts for vehicles, maintaining accurate records, managing payroll and ensuring data integrity across systems. Collaborating with multiple departments, you'll play a key role in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our financial and operational functions.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities may include, but not limited to, the following:
- Supporting our Fleet accounting practices through processing purchase orders, invoices, reconciling financial transactions and ensuring data integrity of fleet assets.
- Prepare and process payroll for employees accurately and on schedule.
- Ensure compliance with ATO and SGC requirements.
- Ensure employee payroll records, including leave balance, are maintained.
- Ensure any payroll related queries are actioned promptly.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation, including transaction logs and financial reports.
- Assist in tracking departmental budgets and expenditures, providing support for budget reviews and variance analysis.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and procurement policies, assisting in audits and compliance checks as needed.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin or similar (preferred).
- 1+ years experience in finance and/or payroll (desirable).
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills.
- Sound knowledge of financial processes and procurement practices.
- Clear communicator with the ability to engage internal teams and external vendors.
- Ability to problem-solve and improve processes where needed.
- Experience using finance and payroll software systems (desirable).
- Data literate (desirable).
